Dr. Jo is moving back home to Maryland after practicing in a private periodontal office in Iowa City, Iowa and serving as an adjunct faculty at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She attended the University of Maryland College Park, where she graduated with a degree in finance. She completed a two-year postbaccalaureate program in cancer research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She then went on to dental school at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Dentistry. She completed a post-doctoral general practice residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dental School and later completed her periodontal specialty training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
